The Hennepin County Medical Center was named one of America’s Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and plays an invaluable role in public health. The termination of the Government Assistance Medical Care (GAMC) program will result in the loss of $43 million in payments to the Hennepin County Medical Center.

The Hennepin County Board of Commissioners meets September 8^th to set the upper end of the county levy. The levy provides critical funding for many public services and institutions in Hennepin County.
